Crayons Paper Scissors

Today was a busy busy day but not a lot of learning happened. We had our normal morning routine, but then our first time at Technology/Library. The students were so excited to finally be able to get their library books and go see the Technology teacher! They were beaming when we picked them up-- hugging their library books. They are allowed to check out two books this year and most of them took advantage of that opportunity. Thankfully we had a parent at lunch today so we were able to go to the teacher's lounge and eat lunch a bit slower than if we didn't have a parent. 

In the afternoon we had a great school assembly called NED- Never Give Up; Encourage Others; Do Your Best.

They split the school up into two groups so that the gym wasn't too full. We were in the first group and one of my children was in there as well (the first group was even grades) It was fun to watch the assembly, but also to see the kid's faces when they guy was telling jokes and involving them. It really was a fun assembly. 
After the Ned show the kids were pretty excited and wound up. Of course they have specials at 2:30 so it took everything in us to get them focused enough to pack up and get ready to go before leaving for specials. I crazy day-- but a fun day too!
